Welcome to Me!

art watercolor

Hello,

You found me!  I am Jo Deb.  Surface things about me........ I am a wife of a million years.  I am a mom of two grown people.  I am a dog lover.....I am the dog mom to two of them, wish I could have them all!!!  I am an advocate for abused and neglected children, representing them in court.  This is a difficult job, but also very rewarding to be able to see the change one person can make in a child's life.  I have lived in the Northeast of the U.S. my whole life, the last 24 in New Hampshire.  I love to travel with my family, spend time with my family, have meals with my family.... I love being with my family.

Now, the "not so surface things".  I am a creator.  I love to let myself get lost into making things.  It is my zen.  My therapy. Over the last few years, I have really learned a lot about myself.  I feel things deeply.  All of the things.  All the colors, words, music, film, touches.  All deeply.  I am so happy to have really put this into focus for myself.  It allows me to be free in this part of me.  Accept this is who I am.  I am so grateful to be able to use these thoughts and feelings to make art.  They are there in all of my pieces.  How cool is that?

I have done various forms of creating over the years.  I spent lots of time painting murals for children's rooms, I will share some pictures.  I have loved making cigar box purses using acrylic paints.  I love the texture of paper and have made cards, gift tags, wrapping paper, gift bags..... all as gifts for friends and family.  I have played with wood crafts.

Currently, I am focused on creating watercolor art.  I am obsessed with the flow of pigment and water weaving together to make beautiful things.  It is magical.  I love the look of watercolor art, the blending, the softness, the watermarks....... Did I mention the water?  I am a Pisces, I am all about water.  It is peaceful and soothing to my soul.

Thank you for finding me.  I am so happy you are here.

Bunches,

Jo Deb
